Cocoa Producers and Traders Meet with the Embassy of Iran to Strengthen Commercial Ties and Explore Collaboration Opportunities.

The meeting between cocoa producers and traders from the departments of Boyacá, Cundinamarca, Huila, and Meta, and the Embassy of Iran in Bogotá, aimed to strengthen commercial ties and explore new business opportunities between both countries.

The meeting was organized by the Tejarat Colombia Platform, in collaboration with representatives from cocoa producers' associations in the mentioned departments. During the event, the characteristics and qualities of cocoa produced in the region were presented, as well as the production and commercialization processes.

The representatives of the Embassy of Iran expressed great interest in Colombian cocoa, highlighting its quality and unique flavor. Additionally, they emphasized the importance of establishing strategic alliances to promote commercial exchange and strengthen the cocoa industry in both countries.

During the meeting, various topics related to cocoa exportation were discussed, such as sanitary and phytosanitary requirements, distribution channels, international prices, attendance at fairs and trade events. Possible cooperation agreements in research and development, as well as in the promotion of cocoa-derived products, were also explored.

This meeting represents a great opportunity for cocoa producers and traders from Boyacá, Cundinamarca, Huila, and Meta, as it offers them the possibility to expand their markets and establish solid commercial relationships with a country like Iran, recognized for its tradition in the production and consumption of cocoa-derived products.
